From NBA Superstar to Oscar-winner, I led the design for Kobe Bryant’s “Dear Basketball” campaign and his passion projects after that. I helped art-direct photo/videoshoots that would be used for social and advertising.
An Oscar-winning Campaign
Dear Basketball is Kobe Bryant’s animated ode to the sport that made him a superstar. He asked legendary animator Glen Keane (“The Little Mermaid”) to illustrate the film and John Williams (“Star Wars”) to create a stirring score.
Verizon tasked the Rogers & Cowan Digital team to create an integrated marketing campaign that would promote the animated short film and engage users.
Here is the case study video I created highlighting all the work my team and I did for Kobe’s short animated film.
I created the digital ads that were used across paid media, social, email, print, and web.
Helping create an award winning multimedia original content company
Working collaboratively with Kobe and his team, I helped strategize and design the content for his production company, Granity Studios.
Working with Kobe directly, I developed a look and feel that was carried throughout his social media + Granity.
“I was fortunate to retire from the game and find something I love to do and that is the art of storytelling. There is nothing like having a blank page and outlining a story, a world, a character – that’s why I built Granity Studios”

Designing for 3x New York Times Best Sellers
After Dear Basketball, I strategized and designed the content for Kobe’s young adult fiction books. I worked on paid media, social, email, and print.
Art Direction
Had the opportunity to art-direct multiple photo/videoshoots for Kobe’s young adult books.
